Even though Presidents' Day is officially February 17th this year, it is being celebrated all month long in our area. With places like Mount Vernon and Washington, D.C. nearby, it is a great time to head out and learn about some of the most influential leaders of our country.


Visit Mount Vernon

The home of President George Washington is a great place to educational place to visit any time of the year. You can get free admission on Presidents' Day!


Attend the George Washington Birthday Parade 

Don't miss this one-of-a-kind parade in Alexandria, VA, held on February 19th, from 1-3 pm.


Hunt for Washington in Alexandria

This scavenger hunt is offered every day of February.


George Washington’s Alexandria Tour

On every Sunday in February 2023, from 2-4 pm, you can explore historic Old Town Alexandria as George Washington knew it! 


Visit Ford's Theater and Museum

Plan a day visiting the theater where Abraham Lincoln was killed by John Wilkes Booth and explore exhibits in the museum. Virtual tours are available on the website as well.


Visit the Lincoln Memorial

If you haven't had a chance to see this amazing monument, why not take a trip in to D.C. and enjoy a nice walk to the Lincoln Memorial?
